Company:

Cell Signaling Technology

Product Name:

IKKα (3G12) Mouse mAb

Catalog Number:

11930

Growth arrested human cell line was treated with growth factor in time dependent manner and tested for its effect on IKKα steady state levels using its specific antibody in immunoblotting technique. Cell signaling antibody was selected because it can detect endogenous level of IKKα proteins in non-transfected cells

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Western Blot

Sample

Human whole cell lysate

Primary Incubation

Dilution (1:1000) in 5% skimmed milk prepared in TBST, overnight incubation at 4 degree Celsius

Blocking Agent

5% skimmed milk prepared in TBST

Secondary Incubation

Dilution (1:4000) in 5% skimmed milk prepared in TBST, 1hr at RT

Tertiary Incubation

None

Detection

Enhanced chemiluminiscence detection in X-Ray film

Results Summary

In the present study, antibody used from Cell Signaling Technology for immudetection and has showed excellent specificity towards IKKα. Growth factor treatment did not have a effect on IKKα steady state levels.
