We needed a LAMA1 antibody to validate some microarray data that we had involving our human Y79 retinoblastoma cells. We chose this antibody because it was polyclonal and would be compatible with other mouse antibodies for double immunofluorescence.

Cytospin of Y79 human retinoblastoma cells
One hour at room temperature with the LAMA1 antibody at 10 ug/ml in PBS with 0.05% Tween20

45 minutes at room temperature with anti-Rabbit Dylight 488 (Vector D1148) at 5 ug/ml
Vectashield mounting medium containing DAPI counterstain
Fluorescence microscopy- Nikon microscope with SPOT camera
The LAMA1 antibody provided excellent results as seen in the accompanying figure. The level of background fluorescence was within acceptable limits.
Very easy to optimize at 5 ug/ml
This antibody works very well for immunofluorescent staining and would be compatible with mouse primary antibodies for double immunostaining experiments.
