Product Name:

Anti-SREBP-1c antibody

Catalog Number:

LS-B93

This antibody was used in a study that investigated the role of hepatic PPARγ signaling in alcohol-induced liver injury. It has been published in Alcohol Clin Exp Res in 2016 (Zhang et al., Hepatic Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor Gamma Signaling Contributes to Alcohol-Induced Hepatic Steatosis and Inflammation in Mice. Alcohol Clin Exp Res. 2016 May;40(5):988-99). Anti-SREBP-1c antibody (cat. # LS-B93) was used for WB. This antibody gave very good results.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Western Blot

Sample

Mice liver

Primary Incubation

1:1000, 4 degrees, overnight

Blocking Agent

5% non-fat milk

Secondary Incubation

1:1000, 1 hour, room temperature

Tertiary Incubation

NA

Detection

Supersignal west dura extended duration substrate

Results Summary

Western blot results showed that 8-week alcohol feeding significantly induced both precursor SREBP-1c and cleaved SREBP-1c. The activation of SREBP-1c was abolished by hepatic PPARγ knockdown.
