CD62L or L-selectin is routinely used in combination with CD44 to identify naive vs. memory T cells in the periphery. Here, I am using CD62L in combination with CD69 to delineate semi-mature vs. mature CD4 single positive thymocytes.

CD62L when used in combination with CD69 enabled us to identify semi-mature vs. mature CD4 SP thymocytes. Following treatment known to promote apoptosis of semi-mature CD4 SP, we observed a decrease in the percentages of semi-mature CD4 SP.
