Leptin is a hormone produced by adipose cells that regulate energy balance by stopping hunger. Using the principle of sandwich ELISA, this kit measures the leptin levels via polyclonal antibodies which are pre coated in plate that bind to leptin in the samples.
This kit is using for estimating the leptin levels in rat serum and plasma.
Obese rat plasma samples
Collected rat plasma using EDTA tubes and Centrifuged for 20 minutes at 2000 x g within 30 minutes of collection. Assayed immediately according to the protocol in the kit
Always use fresh samples. Avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles.
Observed higher leptin levels in obese rats vs controls.

A little expensive
It is really good for leptin levels estimation if cost is manageable.
