We are assessing consequences of Aryl hydrocarbon Receptor (AhR) activation in dendritic cells. Specifically for these experiments we were assessing Aryl hydrocarbon Receptor activation in bone marrow derived dendritic cells. Precursor cells are isolated with Lympholyte M from whole bone marrow suspensions and grown in the presence of GM-CSF for 5-7 days. We then use flow cytometry and RT-PCR to assess changes in dendritic cells after AhR activation.

Cells were stained with fluorochrome-conjugated antibodies and assessed for protein expression.

Tips

The fluorochrome/laser cheat-sheet that is provided is very helpful at first.

Results Summary

This is an easy to learn machine that excels at fast, clean detection. I've noticed a significant difference with the acoustic focusing. The software has some issues and not all features are currently available.

This is an excellent cytometer. I'm really impressed overall. The software is somewhat intuitive, but has some issues that make for small inconveniences.
