Company:

Novus

Product Name:

Thioredoxin antibody

Catalog Number:

NBP1-31090

I selected the thioredoxin antibody from Novus, NBP1-31090, because the western blot on their website looked beautiful and because I thought Novus had a good reputation for other antibodies. I tried the antibody and got nothing except for high-up bands much too high to be real thioredoxin. I contacted tech support and they sent me a replacement vial. I tried this one too, and got only a very faint band at the right MW, still with a very bright band much too high up. I compared this to an identical sample incubated with ProteinTech's TRX antibody, and found that the ProteinTech antibody gave me an enormously bright band with the same amount of sample.
