Our lab generates a lot of protein knockouts in mouse embryonic stem cells using crispr-cas9 technology. We use western blots and subsequent sequencing to screen potential knockout clones. We chose this antibody, because it can be used for IP and WB, according to Santa Cruz.

Whole cell lysates from mouse ES cells
1:500 dilution overnight in 5% milk buffer at 4C
5% milk in PBST
1:3000 anti-goat secondary at RT for 1 hour

Exposure with SuperSignal™ West Femto Maximum Sensitivity Substrate, imaged with apparatus from Bio-Rad
Staining shows non-specific band for all lanes, even though we confirmed the lanes circled in red as knockouts through sequencing. Not a good antibody.
