Mouse cell line was grown, serum starved, treated with specific growth factor and checked for its effect on mRNA copy number of genes related to proliferation and lamalipodia formation.
PCR amplification and ligation of nucleic acids
PCR tubes, nucleic acid samples (cDNA), PCR master mix, primers etc.
Treated and non-treated cells were lysed in trizole reagent, total RNA were extracted, quantified and cDNA were prepared using Applied Biosystems 2720 Thermal Cycler. Gene specific mRNA copy number was quantified by PCR amplification using specific primers, programme and cDNA as template.

After PCR amplification, PCR products were run in 2% ethidium bromide agarose gel and found time dependent increase of mRNA copy number of specific gene in treated cells.
