We constantly have to sequence plasmid DNA in our lab. Before going to a maxi prep we always do a mini prep to send it for sequencing and confirming the sequence is what we want. This great kit is cheap, easy to use, and gives great results.

Grow a 2 ml bacterial culture, spin it down, lyse the pellet, then put on the silica membrane on the column and in 10 mins you have your DNA
Use Dnase free tips and Dnase free water
