For characterising antibody responses to SIV mac gp140 following vaccination or natural infection, ELISAs can be carried out to quantify concentrations, antibody isotypes and their avidities. A robust coating antibody with high reproducibility is required however. This protein can be used for such ELISAs.

Each vial contains 100 µg purified protein (1 mg/ml) in PBS.

Protocol Overview

Dilute the protein in 1x PBS to a concentration of 0.5 ug/ml final.

Coat wells with 100ul of 0.5 ug/ml SIV mac gp140

Results Summary

Highly reproducible antibody titres against the protein are obtained, between experiments, between plates and between protein lots.
