RNaseZap® RNase Decontamination Wipes

Cells were grown and treated with growth factor to test its effect on mRNA expression. RNA was extracted with conventional TriZol method. During RNA isolation various equipment such as pipettes, microcentrifuge racks, centrifuges and working places were RNase Decontaminated with RNaseZap® wipes. Because of its easy availability RNaseZap® from Life technologies was selected.
RNase decontamination during RNA isolation
Cell, PBS, TRiZol, isopropanol, ehanol, nuclease free water, micro-centrifuge etc,.
Mammalian cells were grown, treated with growth factor and washed once with cold PBS. Cells were lysed in TriZol and RNA isolation was performed as per conventional method. All open surfaces were RNase decontaminated with RNaseZap® from Life Technologies. RNA were dissolved in nuclease free water and checked for RNA integrity in Nanodrop. RNA integrity was also checked by observing 28S/5S RNA in ethidium bromide agarose gel.
