Product Name:

SteadyLite

Catalog Number:

6066756

This product is easy to use, has high sensitivity, a long lasting signal and no odor.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Glow luminescence (reporter gene assay)

Starting Material

Stably or transiently-transfected mammalian cells

Protocol Overview

The cells were stimulated with a variety of agents to induce reporter gene expression for 3-8 hours and then equal volume of Steadylite Plus reagent was added. Upon a brief but vigorous shaking (approximately 2 min) the plate can be read on any glow luminometer. Engagement time of 1 second is quite sufficient. Signal lasts over 5 hours.

Tips

For best consistency the reagent should be at room temperature prior to adding to the cells.

Results Summary

The reagent is very sensitive and provides a strong signal even at low level of luciferase expression. Yet, it provides an excellent reproducibility.

Additional Notes

The reagent is suitable for a broad range of cell concentrations and incubation times. With good expression of the reporter gene signal, strong after 2 hours of incubation.
