Company:

BD Biosciences

Product Name:

Kappa light chain FITC

Catalog Number:

550003

Our lab is concerned with studying the transcriptome and signaling changes that occur during transitional B-cell development. This is a major checkpoint in peripheral tolerance where autoreactive B-cell clones are purged. We used Kappa light chain FITC from BD to assess the kappa / lambda light chain ratio in splenocytes. This antibody was easy to use and gave great separation.

Summary

The Good

Kappa light chain FITC is a powerful antibody displaying a wide spectrum over the log axis

The Bad

Needs optimization in terms of concentration due to potential compensation issues

The Bottom Line

This antibody performed well and would be recommended for analyzing kappa versus lambda light chain ratios.
