We use this kit to purify digested Plasmid DNA containing the gene of interest during the cloning procedure. We use this kit for maximum recovery of the digested product .

Cut the gel having the desired DNA and weigh the gel. To that, add 3 volumes of QG buffer then heat the sample at 55 degrees until the gel is completely soluble, then add 1 vol of isopropnol, load onto the qiaquick column and spin. Wash the column with PE buffer and elute the DNA.
Do not exceed more than 200mg of the gel for purification
Very good quality DNA is recovered from the gel
The Purified DNA is of high quality, you can directly go to ligation step.
Quality of the extracted DNA is good
Yield is not so great
I recommend this kit for cloning.
