Company:

Miltenyi Biotec

Product Name:

CD4+CD62L+ T Cell Isolation Kit II, mouse

Catalog Number:

130-106-643

This kit is used for isolating naive CD4+ T cells from mice in a two step MACSing procedure, based on the expression of CD4+ and CD62L+. The cells can be further used either for in vitro polarisation assays, such as TH1, TH17 or Treg differentiation experiments. In addition, the isolated naive T cells can be also used for in vivo adoptive transfer experiments, for example the well-known adoptive transfer model of colitis.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Isolation of naive CD4+CD62L+ T cells

Starting Material

Lymph nodes, spleen from mice

Protocol Overview

The kit was used as written in the manufactor's instruction. One kit can be used for approximately 10 mice.

Tips

Use the recommended dilution of the beads, otherwise the purity of your population is less.

Results Summary

Wih this kit you can get around 3-8 Million naive CD4+ T cells, depending on the age of your mice and the cleanness of your animal facility.

Summary

The Good

With this kit you can sterilely isolate the cells and use it for further cell culture or in vivo experiments

The Bad

Expensive

The Bottom Line

I prefer to use this isolation kit in contrast to cell sorting, since it's easy to perform and cells are steril.
