I use this kit when I need to isolate plasmid DNA in the lab for cloning purposes. I like this kit because I never have trouble using the product with downstream cloning applications, and it is a little cheaper than comparable kits I believe.

Grow 200 ml LB + bacteria. Spin down bacteria to a pellet. Follow maxi prep protocol and isolate DNA.

The kit yields hundreds of nanograms per microliter concentrations of plasmid DNA with good spec. readings
