We purify DNA from mouse blood for cloning purposes. We tend to get lot of RNA contamination by conventional phenol-chloroform methods. We opted to use this kit for getting high quality of DNA from 200 microliters of blood sample.

We followed the manufacturer's protocol without any modifications
Try to use fresh blood sample collected in an EDTA coated Vacutainer rather than a haparin coated one.
We got a very good yield of DNA from just 200 microliters of whole blood sample.
