Our lab works with primary macrophages that have been treated with various pharmaceuticals. The primary aim of our research is to obtain reliable quantitative data on how macrophages accumulate these drugs and the effect of such accumulation on their cellular functions. In order to do so, we use flow cytometry to obtain single cell data to sort out cells that contain or do not contain data. The primary result is to check the viability of the cells that accumulate these drugs as well as when exposed to various stimuli or toxins. For this reason, we chose this product to differentiate between live and dead cells in a flow cytometry experimental setup.

The viability stain should be added just about 5-10 minutes before the flow cytometry measurement.
The use of this product resulted in highly repeatable and accurate viability results as also confirmed via standard microscopy staining techniques as well as via image cytometry
