I have used this kit for isolating RNA from cells. I often have to process cells for a long time and purify them, which makes it tedious to isolate RNA from cells the same day. With this kit, I can lyse my cells in TRIzol and freeze the lysate at -80 C. I can then use this lysate any time for RNA isolation using this kit. It's very fast, gives high yields and very high purity. Unlike other kits, this allows the use of trizol, which to me is a great advantage.

Mouse T cells
I purify cells from mice and freeze them in TRIzol. I then use the TRIzol lysate at a later time point to process through this RNA isolation kit.

I get very good yields of RNA with this kit. A few hundred thousand cells are enough to give me 1ug of RNA. The purity is very high as 260/280 and 230/280 ratios are >1.8
