Human Galectin-4 Affinity Purified Polyclonal Ab

Catalog Number:

AF1227

Our lab's longstanding goal is to unravel new protein biomarkers in cancer and elucidate their functional role in tumorigenesis. Galectin-4 is a tandem galectin that is implicated in colorectal tumorigenesis. A reduction in galectin-4 expression correlates very well with cancer progression and henceforth here we used the galectin-4 antibody to detect the expression of galectin-4 in colonic tissue. As seen in the picture the antibody is very specific binding only to epithelial cells while the stromal component is void of galectin-4 expression indicating the high specificity of the antibody to the epithelial compartments which express galectin-4.
