We analyze samples of crude Arabidopsis thaliana (mouse-ear cress) protein extract from seedlings or later developmental stages according to their protein content. As a reference, we commonly use this antibody. The picture shows the wildtype and two transgenic plants carrying recombinant Cdk under control of the endogenous promotor (Dissmeyer et al. 2007 and 2009). In this case, we used this antibody to determine amounts of CDK in samples used for in vitro kinase assay after pulldown and after Westen blotting of crude extracts.

Very clear and distinct bands - depending on the lot either one clear band or an unspecific additional one around 80 kDa. Compared to the endogenous protein to be detected at around 34 kDa, this was no problem.
