This product was used for Galectin-3 detection in colon cancer cells using flow cytometry. Galectin-3 is a lectin that is highly expressed in cancers and is also found in normal epithelial cells. These galectins are secreted proteins and are found attached to the surface of cancer cells; using this antibody it is easy to perform flow cytometry to detect the secreted form of galectin 3 that is present on the surface of cancer cells.
