In these experiments, I wanted to investigate whether a novel receptor (for olfactory bulb tissue) was co-expressed with known subpopulations - the antibodies used target known histological markers for these subpopulations.  Here, I wanted to quantify the protein expression of connexin43 in brain tissue via immunoblot.  I used a LI-COR Odyssey to view the blots.  This antibody gave good visualization with little antibody used.  If the antibody was stored with sodium azide, it could be re-used on a separate blot.
