Company:

GENEWIZ

Service Provided:

DNA sequencing

I have used the services from GENEWIZ several times to perform sequencing of purified plasmid DNA. The sample preparation is easy; they only require 500-1000ng of DNA in 10uL volume with another 5uL of primer (5uM), mixed together. you fill an online form and submit a printout of the order form along with your samples at ambient temperature. Usually, I receive my results next morning, even on Saturdays. They also have a 7-hour same day rushed service for a slightly higher price. The regular price we pay per sample is 6$, which is pretty low i think considering that they pick up the samples from a drop box located on our floor. The only downside is that I have never had 100% luck with getting back all my sequences; usually out of 10 samples, I get poor priming on at least 3. This is not a big hassle for me as I can select multiple clones for sample submission.
