Product Name:

CX3CR1 antibody from Biorbyt

Catalog Number:

The long-term goal of our lab is to understand the molecular and genetic mechanisms underlying brain development and disases. My work is to study the role of microglia in axon regenreation upon injury. CX3CR1 is a cell surface receptor highly expressed in microglia, while CCR2 is a cell surface receptor highly expressed in its precursor monocyte. Therefore, the CX3CR1/CCR2‍ ratio represent the differentiation of monocyte to functional microglia. To established an in vitro model of microglia, this product was used to trace the differentiation of monocytes to microglia, cells were stained for CX3CR1 and CCR2 together with DNA marker DAPI. The high CX3CR1/CCR2 ratio suggests microglia identify.
