This antibody was used in investigation of regulation of the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR). Several antibodies were tested in this study and this product reviewed here (EMD Millipore, 05-583) produces clean and less non-specific bands. Results were published in Mol Cell Biol. 2014 Jul;34(14):2554-65.
Western Blot
IB3-1 cell transfected with wild type CFTR
1:1000 dilution overnight at 4 degrees in blocking reagent
3% nonfat dry milk (BioRad) in 0.1% tween20, PBS
1:5000 dilution of anti-mouse HRP for 1 hour at room temperature in blocking reagent

Antibody works great in Western blot, which shows A, B, and C bands of CFTR.
Among several CFTR antibodies, EMD Millipore CFTR andibody (05-583) requires least amount of antibody and produces best result.
Highly specific in Western blot analysis
High cost
This is good antibody to detect CFTR protein from CFTR transfected cell lysate. It is expensive but it will save money since it works better than other brand's product.
