Our research plan is designed to evaluate nanoparticle-based vaginal drug delivery systems for HIV prevention. The experimental focus is to achieve protection against vaginal transmission of HIV-1 by topical delivery of a combination of antiretroviral drugs using mucus- and tissue-diffusing nanoparticle microbicides. We used the product to detect HIV infection for the evaluation of nanoparticle drugs. The product is reliable, sensitive, and reproducible.
To detect HIV infection
TZM-bL cells
TZM-bL cells were treated with particle drug first and then exposed to HIV-1. Infection was detected by measuring luciferase activity using the product.
