CDK2 is a protein kinase important in cell cycle regulation. Its activity is specific to G1/S phase transition and is regulated by binding with cyclin A, E and P21. We used it for immunoprecipitation (IP) of CDK2 to study the cyclin A2 and cyclin E. It is is really great for IP, but when we used it for Western blot in colon cancer cells lysate, it showed background.

Used Horseradish peroxidase tagged secondary antibody.
HT-29 cell lysate was used, immunoprecipitated with CDK2 anti body with help of Protein G agarose. then ran on Western blot and probed with same CDK2 antibdoy. We got the CDK2 band around 30 kDa. It is really specific for CDK2 protein. First lane is total lysate, next lane is IP with Protein G agarose sample. Ig heavy and light chains on top and bottom of the second lane.
