We used this for the measurment of myostatin peptide expression in muscle biopsies in the human and extracted total prtotein from C2C12 myotubes. Experiments were performed pre / post exposure to a atrophic stimuli for varying lengths of time. This product was chosen after a previous product from a different supplier was removed from stock.
Western blot
Human muscle tissue and C2C12 myoblasts
Overnight dilution, 1:1,000, 4 Celsius, with gentle agitation in 0.5 % BSA in TBS-T
5 % BSA in TBS-T, 1 hour at room temperature, gentle agitation
ab 7074 from Cell Signalling. 1:10,000 in 0.5 % BSA in TBS-T 1 hour at room temperature, gentle agitation.

ECL incubation as standard
Developed film (~30 second exposure on film in darkroom) shows three bands at ~50, ~ 37 and ~26 kDa which represent the full length, the propeptide and the myostatin bioactive peptide, respectively
