I routinely clone PCR products to various plasmids for expression and conditional knock down experiments. I need high purity PCR product for reliable cloning into my target plasmids. I use Promega Wizard® SV Gel and PCR Clean-Up System to clean up my PCR product, the kit always gives me a high purity product within a very short amount of time. The cloning never fails after cleaning the PCR product with this kit.

The manufacturer supplies Membrane Binding Solution to mach the amount of gel slice cut from the gel. After a short time heating, the gel melts into the buffer. Transfer the mixture to the spin column and spin at 16,000g for 1 minute. Wash twice at 16,000g with the washing buffer, then elute the DNA with 50uL of nuclear free water.
If higher concentration of PCR product is needed, less water(~30uL) is sufficient.
The yields of the purified product correlates with the manufacturers description in the manual.
