Company:

SA Scientific

Product Name:

Fluorescent Detection Reagent

Catalog Number:

E-2210

Our lab was conducting Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) experiments using both SA scientific kits and bst 2.0 homemade reactions. We wanted to increase the detection ability of the reactions beyond qualitative observations of turbidity. The reagent allows easy qualitative observation under both white light and UV light. The reagent is calcein based.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

LAMP detection

Starting Material

LAMP reactions

Protocol Overview

Add 1 µl of Fluorescent Detection Reagent to each tube or in a master mix prior to the reaction. Visualize tubes under white light or UV after reaction.

Tips

NA

Results Summary

Worked well, as expected. The tubes are a clear green shade if the reaction has worked, but remain a pink shade if not. Under UV the tubes are clearly fluorescent if positive or not if negative.

Additional Notes

Comes shipped in a microtube with a product insert.
