In order to measure the RNA quality by Bioanalyzer, I needed to know the concentration of RNA to choose right chip for Bioanalyzer. Nanodrop is inaccurate for low concentration measurement of RNA. Quibit Fluorometer is great to measure low concentration of RNA/DNA and just as simple as Nanodrop protocol.

Protocol Overview

Transparent tubes and special reagents are necessary to measure different concentration of RNA/DNA. It requires two standards.Input the RNA diluted in reagent and measure it, then translate the concentration based on the input RNA.

Tips

Better to pre-measure the total use of reagent.

Tested by Bioanalyzer (posted the image).Result was great after measurement with Qubit.

RNA measurement is much more accurate in Qubit than Nanodrop. Therefore, Qubit is very valuable to proceed RNA quantification for RNA sequencing library preparation.
