Due to various factors, most PCR has primer dimers or misprimed product which needs to be removed for further downstream applications. Our goal was to obtain one single PCR Product in a regular PCR. This Gen Elute Gel Extraction Kit was used to purify unwanted secondary bands/primer dimers from PCR through gel extraction. We selected this kit based on our trust in the brand name, reliability, and easy-to-follow protocall. This kit works as expected and is a great product to perform gel extraction - yields are in the greater range and the purity of the DNA is also good .

Straightforward protocol with the use of binding buffer, wash buffer, and elution buffer . Two additional steps involve column preparation and adding isopropanol for better binding
I do the wash step twice by halving the volume of wash buffer.
I obtained quick and easy recovery of good quantities of either ssDNA or dsDNA.
