I came to know about this product at the Annual Meeting of the American Association of Cancer Research, 2014, San Diego. The sample pack gave us pretty good Western blot results and even better results than the Millipore reagents we have been using.
Western Blot of protein samples for Actin

SDS PAGE and standard Western blot protocol using Actin antibody (from Sigma) at 1:1000 dilution and secondary at 1:3000 dilution. 1-2 minutes exposure to ECL and X-ray film.
Use less antibody to get a cleaner blot
In this experiment I compared ECL reagent from Advansta with our ECL reagent purchased from Millipore. I ran duplicates of samples for actin and one blot was exposed to Millipore ECL and another blot was exposed to advansta ECL. As you see in the image, both ECL reagents gave pretty good blots but Advansta ECL gave nicer bands without any blurry band.
