We typically perform 20-40 gene expression experiments each week. This machine is fantastic in that you can create templates, drop in your plate and go, analyze your data in a variety of ways and mix detectors for a variety of samples in one plate. We have always used applied biosystems instruments and recently upgraded to this model. We are starting to use it for a variety of assays including ligand binding melt shifts, FRET, and high resolution melting. It is extremely efficient, performs a variety of experiments, and the software is very user friendly.

The software will do almost all of the analysis for you or you can just export the data into excel and do the analysis yourself. Extremely user friendly!
