Rabbit anti-KI67 (SP6 clone)
RM-9106
Used in experiments aimed at determining proliferating cell populations in the the brain of postnatal mice. KI67 is a marker for cells that have not exited the the cell cycle and are thus actively cycling and proliferating.
Immunofluorescence
Floating brain tissue fixed in 4% PFA and cryosectioned to 50um thickness
1:1000 dilution in blocking agent at 4C overnight
5% Goat Serum; 0.5% Triton X-100; PBS
1:1000 dilution of Goat ant-Rabbit Alexa Fluor IgG in PBS
None
Fluorescence detected via epifluorescent microscopy
Obtained fluorescent images that can be analyzed via stereological software.
Easy to use, and produces reliable staining of proliferating cells
There is some background staining
Altogether great antibody for detecting proliferating cells in fixed brain tissue.
