IL-10 ELISA kits

We have used these ELISA kits in many experiments but basically to find out the serum IL-10 concentrations in patients with acute dengue infection (Malavige et al, PLOS Neg Dis 2013; Malavige et al, BMC infectious Dis, 2013). It is very easy to use and always gave comparable results. There was hardly any variation in the ODs of the standard curve between ELISA plates. We have probably done over 35 IL-10 ELISA plates by now.
Quantification of serum IL-10
Serum and plasma
We dilute serum of plasma 5 times before using it in this assay. This is because we found that IL-10 was present at very high concentrations in some patients (over the detection value) and also since we wanted to preserve patient samples.
This is a very user friendly kit
We found that serum IL-10 levels were significantly higher in patients with more severe forms of dengue. We have also used this kit to do serial samples in dengue patients (results not published).
