Product Name:

Phospho-IRF-3 (Ser396) (4D4G) Rabbit mAb

Catalog Number:

#4947

The goal of this experiment was to compare antiviral signalling between two sets of MEFS (WT vs KO). MEFs were infected with Sendai virus and antiviral signalling was monitored by measuring the activity of phospho-IRF3. p-IRF3 is a well known marker for examining host antiviral response. A time course was performed with the Sendai virus and compared to uninfected (control)

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Western Blot

Sample

Murine Embryonic Fibroblast cells (15ug) per well

Primary Incubation

1/1000, RT for 1hr in TBST 5% skim milk

Blocking Agent

TBST 5% skim milk

Secondary Incubation

1/10000, RT for 1hr in TBST 5% skim milk

Tertiary Incubation

N/A

Detection

HRP- chemiluminescence

Results Summary

The antibody works great and is very specific. Compared to the control it was obvious that antiviral signalling was activated in the cells when infected with Sendai virus. Results confirm that antiviral signalling is comparable in both WT and KO MEFS.

Summary

The Good

Good dilution and very specific

The Bad

Haven't found one yet!

The Bottom Line

Great antibody and would definitely use this again. Can probably dilute Ab more and would still see a great result.
