Brilliant Violet 421™ Anti-human CD3 Antibody

Catalog Number:

2102170

Multi-color flow cytometry can be tricky, especially when you're doing more than 6 colors. In order to free up some of the more commonly used channels, it's a good idea to use this antibody to stain CD3 hence utilizing a channel which isn't normally used on your flow instrument.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Flow Cytometry

Sample

Whole blood, or PBMC

Primary Incubation

No dilution needed. 5 µl per million cells or 5 µl per 100 µl of whole blood is sufficient

Blocking Agent

None needed

Secondary Incubation

None needed

Tertiary Incubation

None needed

Detection

You'll need a flow cytometer that has a violet laser

Results Summary

Reasonable distinction is seen between CD3+ and CD3- cells. However, please remember to check the configuration on your cytometer before you buy this antibody.

Additional Notes

BV421 is excited at 405nm. You'll need a bandpass filter 450/50 nm for detection
