Caliper Life Sciences, Inc. today introduced the Caliper Sciclone ALH 4000 Liquid Handling Workstation. Designed to increase productivity and accelerate research and drug discovery for biotech and pharmaceutical customers, the ALH 4000 integrates an automated liquid handler with Caliper's industry standard Twister® II microplate handler into one easy-to-use system.

By combining the liquid handling and microplate handling processes, the Caliper Sciclone ALH 4000 enables researchers and scientists to avoid time- and labor-intensive, repetitive tasks, thus increasing walk-away time. Pre-programmed application templates for Plate Replication, Serial Dilution, Assay Set-up, Hit Picking and DNA/RNA/Protein Purification allow researchers and scientists to begin working with the Sciclone ALH 4000 immediately, and provide the flexibility to easily switch between applications without the hassle and complexity of programming.
