Fixed Axis Micromanipulator, RH
  • Catalog Number: 50130
  • Description: Holds greater weight with less slippage or drift than any ball bearing slide micromanipulator available. These micromanipulators were based upon the classic dovetail micromanipulators no longer available from Prior Co. Stoelting took the best features of these popular dovetail slide micromanipulators, and engineered several major design improvements:
    • Strong Construction. Micromanipulators are manufactured from brass. The precision dovetail slide construction used on these micromanipulators is significantly more durable, and holds greater weight without slippage or drift, than any ball bearing slide micromanipulator available.
    • The fixed arm has the X axis locked at precisely 90°.
    • Coarse Axis Drives. The dovetail slides are driven by rack and pinion mechanisms for rapid positioning to a resolution of 0.1 mm on the coarse vertical (Z) and lateral (Y) drives. The probe direction (X) drive is also graduated in 0.1 mm increments, and has an anti-backlash worm drive for more precise control of movement.
    • Z Axis has a Fine Drive The fine drive, graduated in 0.01 mm increments, is located on the base of the Z axis. This is especially useful where the specimen is in a Petri dish or microtiter tray. The probe holder allows mounting of any rod or pipette, even up to 1/2" diameter.
    • Versatile Mounting. These micromanipulators can be mounted directly on several bases via the most secure dovetail slide mount. Alternatively, we have designed ring mounts, which allows mounting onto any 1/2" rod.
    • Strong Hold Stoelting’s most stable probe clamp is now an integral part of every dovetail micromanipulator. This adjustable probe clamp provides an absolute steadfast grip of any probe, rod or electrode holder from 1/4" to 1/2" in diameter. Together with these new features, Stoelting’s dovetail slide micromanipulators provide better performance than their predecessors.

MM33 Post Mount Micromanipulator, LH
  • Catalog Number: 55233
  • Description: These high precision micromanipulators are widely used in laboratories throughout the world. They feature silky smooth roller bearing slides, and a highly space efficient design. The micromanipulator is equipped with three coarse movements and an additional fine drive in the axis of the tool holder and is suitable for use at microscope magnifications up to approximately 250x. A unique feature of this series of manipulators is the ergonomic positioning of all control knobs in a single plane. This permits several manipulators to be positioned side by side with unimpeded access to the knobs, and facilitates one-handed, eyes-on-the-microscope operation.
Stainless steel cross roller bearing raceways with rack and pinion drive provide zero backlash, long life and fast positioning in the X, Y and Z axes. These drives have a resolution of 0.1 mm over a travel of 20 mm in the lateral and vertical planes, and 37 mm in the probe direction. The Micromanipulator is set on a clamp for post mounting on a 1/2" rod. A selection of post mount bases and "Flexbar" positioning devices is available from Stoelting. Our 55110 Ultra Compact Manipulator Stand is especially suitable to take advantage of the compactness of this series of manipulators.
