Dry bath incubators, including block heaters, are benchtop instruments that use metal blocks to evenly and precisely heat tubes and multi-well plates. Unlike traditional water baths, dry bath incubators can be used immediately as the solid blocks can rapidly heat up to reach the desired temperature. These incubators are generally powered by a microprocessor for precise temperature control and timed operations.
