Today’s cloning systems not only make getting your DNA fragment into your vector a simple and straightforward process, they also make it easy to pop that fragment back out and into another vector, and another – or to pop it into multiple vectors simultaneously. What vendors realize is that you may need to take your gene of interest through a series of experiments. In the course of those experiments, you may need to express your gene under the control of different promoters, in more than one type of host cell, with or without a purification tag, etc. Many vendors are offering kits to meet these needs for flexibility. Check out the links below and the products to the right to learn more about current cloning kits and to find the one that’s right for you.
