InvivoGen

  • Catalog Number: puno-msigirr
  • Description: pUNO-mSIGIRR is a sequence-verified expression plasmid containing the murine Single ImmunoGlobulin IL-IR-Related molecule Single Ig IL-1R-related molecule (SIGIRR), also called TIR8, is a member of the Toll/IL-1 receptor (TIR) superfamily. SIGGIR is mainly expressed in mouse and human epithelial tissues such as kidney, lung and gut. It contains the typical conserved motifs that characterize the TIR superfamily, but is structurally and functionally distinct. SIGIRR negatively modulates immune responses. Inflammation is enhanced in SIGIRR-deficient mice and cells from SIGIRR-deficient mice show enhanced activation in response to either IL-1 or certain TLR ligands. These data suggest that SIGIRR functions as an important modulator of TLR/IL-1R signaling.1. Polentarutti N. et al., 2003.
