Zoom Microscopes

Zoom Microscopes Standard microscope amplification ranges from 10X to 400X. Greater ranges than this, (the max range being 1250X to 1600X) need more powerful optics and illumination. A zoom microscope has continuous magnification across a set range and can go slowly from a particular magnification to a new resolution, without sacrificing the view or vision of the observed specimen. These scopes are used to view industrial and biological specimens such as printed circuit boards or biological dissections in varying magnifications. Image quality depends on the optics and illumination. When choosing a model, decide if your laboratory needs special features such as UV illumination, image capture or extra-long working distance for assembly, manipulation or dissection.

MVX10 MacroView Fluorescence Microscope
  • Catalog Number:
  • Description: The MVX10 MacroView is a research Macro Zoom Fluorescence Microscope. The MVX10 addresses the tradeoffs between stereo and compound imaging systems, offering high numerical apertures from a compound microscope along with long working distances and larger fields of view from a stereo microscope. Historically, stereomicroscopes have been used to view specimens that are too large or thick for compound microscopes. However most stereo microscopes have severe limitations for the researcher using fluorescence. Stereo optics have relatively low numerical aperture (NA).
