Description
Unique enzyme blend containing Taq and Pwo DNA Polymerase and another thermostable enzyme. The Expand 20 kbPLUS PCR System also includes an optimized reaction buffer, MgCl2 solution, and a human control DNA (template DNA plus beta-globin primers).
 
Application
Produces extra long PCR products from genomic DNA. The Expand 20 kbPLUS PCR System is ideal for amplifying >20 kb fragments from human genomic DNA (or up to 47 kb fragments from lambda-DNA). The enzyme blend may be used for any application that requires amplification of very long DNA sequences, such as:
  • Mapping and sequencing whole genomes
  • Cloning and analysis of eukaryotic genes
  • Analyzing disease-causing genes
  • Amplification of full-length viral genomes
  • Analyzing deletions
