Firefly Luciferase-based analytical techniques are severely limited by the unstable nature of this enzyme at room temperature leading to losses in sensitivity and precision. To overcome these hurdles, BioVision has developed StayBrite™ Highly Stable Luciferase utilizing a genetically modified variant (rLucHS) derived from the Luciferase of Diaphanes pectinealis (Chinese Firefly). This enzyme displays enhanced stability, sensitivity and performance at a more physiologically relevant and effective pH range. The activity profile shows a linear detection range for ATP values as low as 10 fmol/assay (1 nM).
