An Essential Tool for Mode-of-Action Study Changes in cellular pool of (deoxy)ribonucleotides result in the inhibition of DNA/RNA synthesis and cell growth arrest, as previously reported for many antiviral and anti-proliferative drugs. NovoCIB offers Nucleotide Profiling Analytical services consisting of an accurate quantification by HPLC of more than 31 (deoxy)ribonucleotides (mono-, di-, triphosphate) and nucleotide co-factors in drug-treated cells. This approach was validated with a wide range of nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors. A new compound's MOA is analyzed by establishing its nucleotide profile, which is then compared with profiles of reference drugs (MPA, hydroxyurea, methotrexate, ribavirin, leflunomide, gemcitabine…).
