Supersensitive Oxidative Stress Assessment The tripeptide Glutathione (GSH), the highest concentration thiol in eukaryotic cells, is involved in the defense mechanisms against xenobiotics and naturally occurring compounds like free radicals and hydroperoxides. Glutathione status is a sensitive indicator of cell functionality and viability. Arbor Assays offers sensitive fluorescent microplate kits to measure GSH, as well as glutathione reductase (GR) and glutathione S-transferase enzyme activity. The GSH kit avoids toxic chemical use and allows the measurement of free and total GSH in the same sample in the same well. The GR fluorescent activity kit is the most sensitive kit available.
